What is LEDTrack?
LEDTrack is a kit that let you bring your head movements into games and simulators - similar to what virtual reality headsets do, but for just a fraction of the price and without need for high-end PC. Specifically, LEDTrack focuses on headtracking using tracking points placed on your headset, captured by a regular webcam. This lets you move the in-game view with your head as naturally as you would in real life. The tracking points are powered via USB, so they'll never run out of battery in the middle of a battle or a race. Every set also comes with a self-adhesive hook-and-loop strap to attach the tracking points securely.
Have you ever launched a simulator, full of anticipation, only to shut it down later thinking "this just isn't as good as I hoped"? If so, LEDTrack is exactly what you've been missing. A free and natural head movement in the cockpit is absolutely essential for a true flying experience. Many enthusiasts started out by buying a joystick and a throttle, as headtracking used to be expensive. However, users who have tried any form of headtracking often say that if they could choose again, they would rather have a joystick and headtracking than a joystick and a standalone throttle.
LEDTrack is compatible with any game that supports headtracking.
Some of the biggest names include DCS World, Falcon BMS, the IL-2 series, Lockheed Martin Prepar3D, Microsoft Flight Simulator series, War Thunder, X-Plane series, Euro Truck Simulator, F1 series, iRacing and other racing titles, Farming Simulator, ArmA Reforger and the ArmA series, DayZ… The list of games where LEDTrack comes to life is truly extensive, this is just a few.
How it works?
LEDTrack consists mainly of USB-powered tracking points and a light filter that attaches in front of your webcam's lens using one of the included filter holders. It works with software that tracks and interprets your head movement during gameplay, then sends that movement data to the game. For best results, it´ s recommended to use a Full HD webcam. The full setup process is described in detail in the manual available on this website, and also in video tutorials on YouTube. All instructions are available in both Czech and English.

If you're not using headphones, you can, of course, attach the frame with tracking points in another way—it's up to your creativity. One alternative is to attach them to the side of a cap or other hat. However, there are two essential rules for proper tracking: all points must remain visible to the camera at all times, and they must be positioned on the left side of your head at the level of your ear.
How hard is it to set up?
It requires downloading and installing the program and a bit of patience, but the result is well worth it. The written manual is detailed, with illustrations and photos, and divided into two parts: the essentials to get tracking up and running, and a second part with detailed information on program settings to achieve the best results. It also includes a chapter on common issues and how to solve them, as well as a list of tested webcams. How deeply you want to customize the program is entirely up to you.
In addition to the written manual, LEDTrack's YouTube page features a playlist of installation and setup videos. You can check out the guides page right away and see for yourself, just click -here-
